"I was so proud of him," Liz shares, but a brush with the law led to job loss, and Lee's journey back into addiction began.

In the aftermath of these losses, Liz found a glimmer of hope and a purpose to continue. She discovered the power of naloxone, a medication that can reverse opioid overdoses. Trained by the Salvation Army, Liz carried this life-saving drug with her, and on a fateful Christmas Eve, she put it to use.
"I saw a man lying in the street, barely breathing. My naloxone saved his life," she recalls. This act of compassion and quick thinking gave Liz a sense of purpose and a mission to spread awareness.

Liz's story is a powerful reminder of the urgency to address drug abuse as a national health emergency. She volunteers at the Salvation Army, advocating for change and support. "These people on the streets need help, not judgment," she emphasizes.
